Cleaning House

Decided my blog has been ignored for far to long, and was overdue for an update. I've been reorganizing and managing all of my different accounts, consolidating things, and hopefully all the fixes will make it easier for me to update more consistently.

Here's a little dose of pretty for you to look at while I get all of my work in order!

Right off the Page

Another long gap between postings, but I promise to make it up to you with...

I was cruising through my sketchbook and scanned a bunch of pages so I thought I'd post them up here! Some are roughs for finished drawings, some are in progress, and there are some that probably will never get touched again, but they're all fun to look at.

Some thumbnails and initial sketches for a character design project in my portfolio class, re-imagining five characters from alice in wonderland.

Various assortment characters from Runaways. :D

I went to Disneyland on 'Bat Day' not to long ago, and just had to draw some of the goths there. It was pretty awesome.

Some caricatures of my two dogs, Riley and Oberon. Riley is old, grumpy, and lazy, and Obi is adorable, but also a little bit evil. Okay, really evil. But really cute.

Fourth of July doodle, my friend lisa told me to draw a stereo typical pirate tattoo, like an anchor or mermaid, so she got a pirate mermaid on an anchor. I'm cleaning this one up and coloring it. Yay!

Lastly, not really a sketchbook doodle per say, but a computer doodle. I was out hiking, listening to Iron and Wine, and a I pictured these sort of russian peasants. The girl with the bird sort of grew into her brother and sister, and their Irish wolfhound. :)

Well, it's been a while since I've been here!  I've been doing a lot of freelancing lately and just recently got a break to do some of my own stuff, so I thought I'd share it up here.
Nightcrawler has always been my favorite Marvel Character!  There is just simply not enough nightcrawler out there in the world.

I whipped this up in my sketchbook about a week ago when I couldn't sleep, and was watching Iron man at 1 in the morning :P

I wanted to do some pinups with giant fruit a month or so ago, but never really got started on the idea until Last night I was struck by the bug of inspiration.  Funnily enough, I don't really drink, but for some reason the idea of making a bunch of little posters or labels of fun summery cocktails was just to fun to pass up.  I have another one thats almost done and a few more ideas, so I'll probably be posting them up soon.

Busy Busy Busy

I've been doing some freelance work, keeping busy.

Been working hard lately, but I managed to crank out a new pic!  Another doodle turned into massive project (nothing new for me) and I'm pretty pleased with it.  I especially liked the line work for this one so I posted it too.

Another Runaways piece, featuring Nico Minoru, the Runaways resident witch and fearless leader.  I think I like drawing her so much because she's got the coolest wardrobe...

EDIT:  Posted again to fix the broken link...

Hey everyone!

I finally did it!  All the stress and hard work has paid off, and now I'm graduating!  Now instead of stressing over homework and my demo reel, I can move on to stressing over finding work and a job.  Exciting!

Thanks to all my friends family and faculty, and to you for checking out my blog!  WOOT.

You can check out my demo reel on my site!

Hello All!

Long time no post, I know. Things are picking up speed on the school front, so I've been pretty busy working on demo reel stuff.

I took a break for this though, this is based off of a crazy dream I had a few weeks ago about bird people. I rarely remember my dreams, and I really liked the look of the bird guy, so I drew it before I could forget it.

I based the markings off of an Osprey, and the dream sort of took place in the steam-punky sort of place. I'll have to do some more design work for some of the environments and characters in there, because it was a really detailed dream place.

Now that I've bored you with random dream stuff you don't care about...

I'll post a color version of this as soon as I get it done!

Roller Derby Disco

Hey there!

Back with another post, sorry its been a while. We just finnished up with midterms last week and this is the first drawing for fun I've done in a while. This was a quick sketch I did waiting backstage at a show I volunteer for in Laguna Beach called Pageant of the Masters. It reminded me of one of the ladies I perform with (she's a DJ) so I flushed it out, popped some color on it in Illustrator and made it into a buisiness card for her. Hope ya like it Wendy!

I've been so wiped out lately, I feel like I don't have time to breath anymore, so sitting down to work on this was very relaxing. Back to work now, though...
